As some of you know I don't bet the games myself - firstly so I don't give the bets away - my accounts are marked and secondly the double whammy effect of a bad day - losing money and customers.
In this case what an idiot Failing that those who twitter feel free to broadcast todays good news. All the best for tomorrow Ian

Absolutely fantastic!! Only had a minor acca bet, but hey - at odds 500 it's still bloody interesting!

We were going to do a big run down of how the year went - what happened when etc but dwelling on the past will not really help us move forward. We did set ourselves a target for the first year of public tipping of 10% ROI so the actual final figure of 15.5% is very pleasing - moving from the realms of punting your own money to people relying on your tips is not easy and Stephen has acquitted himself well. When things are not going well the temptation is there to chase losses but when we hit the odd sticky patch Stephen stuck to his guns and gave out the bets which he knew long term would provide a profit. I would like to say that we will analyse the results and see if we can improve things - maybe looking at Asian handicaps but with an ROI of 15.5% we don’t want to alter a winning formula too much. The overall figures can be seen below with the profit figure being the first column and the total staked the second. A shame we cant include the Scottish Cup early round bets but as only a couple of books priced up it wouldn’t be fair!! - otherwise our ROI would be over 20%!!
July -23 59 August +30.77 221 September +6.32 190 October +73.1 225 November +81.05 174 December -22.5 55 January +35.6 244 February +112.25 140 March -4.3 202 April -48.07 160 May +7.5 15 Ante post +21.5 50 +270.22 profit 1735 staked 15.5% ROI

Impressive stuff.
I think the Scottish lower leagues are the one exception, where you can actually get bigger bets on with the British books than you can with the Asian ones. The liquidity in Asia is non-existent until the day of the game, and even then it's lower than a lot of minor European leagues. |
