hundreds of liverpool fans with tickets, have been stranded at john lennon airport because of a problem with the plane.
they wont be making the final...
surely these tickets can be resold to ticketless pool fans already in greece?
..they could fax the ticket numbers through to the greek authorities and then resell them on a first come first served basis.............
or is this beyond modern technology...

400 flights have been cancelled from Italy too because of an Alitalia grounds crew strike. Radio this morning were predicting rows of empty seats.

3rd placed team in England playing 3rd placed team in Italy [who were originally expelled from the Champions League for match-fixing, before being reinstated on appeal].... all played out to rows of empty seats or in front of mugs paying 1000 Euros for the privilege.

Yep, the game's in safe hands.
