| The boo boys will be in force today............ With West Ham languishing at the foot of the Premiership table eleven points from safety, and without a Premiership win in eleven games, it’s surely just a matter of time before relegation becomes a mathematical certainty. Alan Curbishley saw his side snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at home to Spurs two weeks ago, which was probably the final straw. The Irons are without an away win all season, so only their most optimistic fans would see them winning at Ewood Park on Saturday evening. Blackburn are riding the crest of a wave, unbeaten in six games, and with an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to. Coach, Mark Hughes, has picked them up after the disappointment of exit from the UEFA Cup, restoring team spirit, something his counterpart will take a long time to achieve. The West Ham squad is divided by cliques and beset by gambling problems, and rock-bottom morale. Blackburn 3 West ham 1 |
