| Lot of male players / coaches / journos saying fine but make them play 5 sets. Is Womens tennis (espec the decent eye candy) more entertaining than the mens 100+ mph servefests Do they deserve the same cash. Should they play 5 sets, should the men play only best of 3 or should be like the Wimbledon warm up tournaments where the men and women play separate tournaments at different locations and times. Mens Final day tickets cost 2-3 times as much as Ladies Final Day tickets.

| just on the subject of demand for each side of the game - if you offered a large sample of people tickets to either the mens final or the ladies final, i would hazard a guess that about 75% would rather see the mens for me, that decision would have more to do with seeing federer playing - if you offered me henin v mauresmo or roddick v acemonkey, then i'd pick the ladies i think most casual observers see the mens final as the big event, even though it is generally a very one sided affair these days not bothered in the slightest if they get paid the same amounts on both sides to be honest |
