Head to head is 7-2 Fed including the last 6. Haas not won since 2002.

Fed this year only lost to Nadal and Murray. Last year to Nalbandian, Gasquet, Safin and Nadal.

Suspect it's a bit like looking for needles in haystacks. Roddick in the final given it's US may be worth looking at - but I suspect value is not what it seems.

Cue the greatest victory of Tommy Haas's career....

Thanks Stoichkov - thought that there was a very tight match quite recently which suggested Haas might be value at 6's?

I am with Haas outright

I will be looking to oppose Federer if I get the chance

Hew's had some 5 setters which do sap the energy away and Fed has had a comfortable time, but that is a two edged sword and Federer struggled a couple of times in grand slams when this happened last year note the Kiefer matches

Federer was tired when Haas beat him last year and then thrashed him

At the moment wait. Davydenko and Haas still have to play and Haas is about 6/4 or 13/8 there (I'll be looking to back him at 7/4)

So a tough one at the Australian Open. When was the time Haas beat him last year?

BF pre-match average prices were
Halle 06 1.16
Nasdaq 1.17
Oz 1.10
Qatar 1.08
Halle 05 1.11

Haas could well be a nice bet to beat Davy.

Anyone know what price Nadal went to beat Youzhny? I was surprised to hear that result this morning, and also gutted I laid off Roddick so early.

Outright prices on Betfair are understandable but quite weird-looking.

I'd laid Nadal at 1.17 early doors but I saw he drifted to 1.23/1.24 so the late money must have pushed him in.

Youzhny had looked good in earlier matches and as we all know now was real value
