| I used to buy The Mirror years ago, mostly for the racing page and the crossword. I also took The Sporting Life on Saturdays. I didn't like the Racing Post layout, so gave up after a few weeks. Since I bought my first computer I have not purchased a newspaper at all. I estimate I have saved in the region of £205 per year on papers. I read the news online, and on CEEFAX. Anything I really need to know about I can always find on chitchat at BF!!! As I no longer go into newsagents, I don't buy my cigars at their prices, I get them from supermarkets at a rough saving of £220 per year. So, in four years I have saved at least £1,700, so being shrewd, I bunged it in a Beftair account,...and you bastards nicked it all... |

| Hi mate. I can't remember the last time I bought a newspaper. Used to get one every day but now I just look on internet & it's the same old depressing shit!! They're just a magazine full of bad news, so called celebrities acting like cunts & yesterdays sports results that we lost money on!! Much rather spend my 40 pence on a Double Decker or a Boost |

| I bought The Sun today. First time in years. It was rubbish. I'm now the black sheep of the family - this doesn't go down well with my Nan.

| I was brought up on The Guardian, but Sarah Tisdale, general pusillanimousity, finally Berliner put me off good 'n' proper. Sometimes still get Racing Post, otherwise have kicked habit. Sorry for thinly disguised attempt to preserve posting status. Hi to mgt, 36, old friends lost but not forgotten.

| Thanks mgt. A propos the press; it was recently said (forget by whom) that Private Eye is increasingly our newspaper of record, with which it is hard to argue.
