| My friendship with SDK? We've met twice, once in the Lake District and once at my house. It should be obvious that the majority of posters on BF are not like that in real life (except me.. We came to an agreement, he didn't laugh at my jokes and I didn't laugh at his. But mine were funnier!! Like most Liverpudlians, he is funnier in the flesh, especially when he told the tale of getting totally lost on the way to my house. He got instructions from a woman who was walking down a very long fen road, and with no turn offs on the road she had to be travelling in the same direction. She said 'You go right past my house on the way.' So SDK let her into his partners almost brand new 7-seater to give directions. Only after she got in did they realise she had been in a field picking onions all day About five miles later she got out. He was watching her in the mirror and she never moved from the spot as he drove off. AND she got them lost again with her directions |

| Berts jnr. now, RWE. I'm getting on, I think - can't place a RWE on BF. Who were you two years ago (yes, it is that long...)?

| Bert, two years ago i would have been 'elldorado' The name 'eldorado' was taken so i had to go for the double ll option.Slippy Blue informed me that 'eldorado' had, sadly, died.I also had the name 'onlyme'.You probably won't remember either as i didn't post all that often. |

| Do recall you as elldorado, RWE, because as infrequent as you were... ...I weren't. Can't believe my bathroom warranted a place in the annals of BF lore, though... As there's a sizeable influx from the Bloc at the minute, I believe skilled migrants and specific project workers are at the front of the queue for Gold (El Dorado - sorry, slight irony giggle). At the same time, I'm not sure Bronze members with a shovel hang around in Bronze too often. Silver is the red-amber when the lights change, as a rule - you only see it on the way out (inactivity as a rule), not coming in. Your mission, should you not be one of these skilled migrants and specific project workers, is to pass yourself off as one

| A quick query. Given that you are not able to even view the other forums here without being 'approved' then is that not a slight flaw. There seem to be three or four people at one time on this part of these forums (bronze) so is it realistic to expect people to spend significant time on here producing 'quality posts' when there is unlikely to be significant response and people are not aware of the content of the forums that they are supposed to be aspring to? (Although, given some of the names on there I am sure there are more than a few interesting threeads on there) That's not a criticism as such, as I am sure, given that it has been around a while, this system works well enough. It's more of a query or question as to whether it is the best way to attract 'quality' when surely many are going to look in but be put off by the fact that what I assume are the interesting parts of the forum are a closed shop that would take a fair amount of time to even view and make a judgement on. Actually, given some of the stuff on Betfair, that is probably a good idea and I've answered my own question. Just wondered though. | the_mgt, Thanks for saying "well done". I've been having a look around the site, but it may take me some time before I am able to find out where I am and what to do. I only found out last night how to open a new window, after over three years of computer ownership! So if you don't see me about much, but that I'm logged in, you know I've gone 'walkabout' somewhere. Thank you for inviting me to join this forum. |
