hey all, today's papers featured a £1 million hedge which Betbrokers (???) will give to Macclesfield if they beat Chelsea in the 3rd round of the FA cup this Saturday. What can you tell me about this firm, apart from the fact that i called them up and had a cheeky one myself on Macc well over market odds ... well what with Chelsea's terrible performance and Maccs starry rise .... any good advice?

haven't seen the papers, and can't quite assertain from your post what the exact situation is here, but it has publicity stunt written all over it.. Far as I'm aware betbrokers are a fairly new outfit who offer to get bets on for people who otherwise can't via their various bookie accounts. I'd have said it'll never work, but then i concede i could be wrong.

True .... can't do it themselves, don't want to do it themselves cos its easier to have the one account to all the bookies, or simply want to pay for a service. it obviously depends on the punter. with the Macca event, any punter who stakes large now knows that Betbrokers can shift substantial amounts at good and above the market prices. Others, like me, just want to facilitate a hobby, the fun is watching the event not hunting around the bookies and shifting funds!!
