Default Internet Gambling Survey - invitation to take part

As part of a research project about Internet gambling at the University of Leeds (UK), we're carrying out an online survey. If you play casino games, place a bet, take part in lotteries, play bingo or any other form of gambling on the Internet, we want to hear from you:

www.survey.leeds.ac.uk/gambling/

It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete and it can be completed anonymously, if you prefer.

Further information about the research can be found via the link.

Thanks for your time.

how are we supposed to answer the 'how much do you spend on gambling' questions?

our turnover?
our average profits as a negative number?

also,

Q36. a. Do you stay away from school or work to gamble?

how do I answer that if gambling is my work?

ditto 36. d. Because of your gambling do you find it difficult to concentrate on your job or education?

also,

36.b. When gambling and you run out of money do you feel lost and in despair?

This question is poorly worded as it assumes that the running out of money has actually happened.

do you think you might fuck up your sample a bit by putting a link to the survey on this site?

*sorry, technical term - I meant to say, do you not think that a disproportionate number of people from this site filling in the survey may introduce biases in to your sample, making it not reliable if you try to generalise it to the popoulation as a whole?

Why don't you do some real work yourself, like getting out and speaking to people, rather than posting on an internet site and sitting back to wait for the results.

Bloody students.

Bit unfair ML, if CharlieLeeds = Charlotte Kenten from the survey front page then it should be Dr.CharlieLeeds to us.. and the second part of the survey does involve face to face interviews apparently.

(although quite how 1 professor and 2 doctors in social sciences managed to come up with a survey full of such poorly worded questions I don't know.. oh no hold on, the term 'social sciences' is probably a clue there..)
