A new service from Sportsbettingindex ( Ian ) that I would recommend.
Ian has teamed up with Wickerman ( Stephen ) to offer a tipping service based solely on Scottish football.

Ian is widely known as an honest and trustworthy guy and Wickerman is probably the most highly regarded member of the UBF for his contribution of consistent winning bets across a variety of sports.

Wickerman will continue to share his best bets on other sports with the Gold members of the Ultimate Betting Forum but his legendary tips on Scottish football will now be only available through subscription to footballbettingindex

I was privy to the proofing trial over the last 2.5 months of the previous Scottish Football season which produced a figure of 93.53 pts profit. On a few occasions I used different bookmakers than advised but still returned a profit of 86 pts.

Those sort of figures will come as no surprise to Ultimate Betting Forum Gold members who are well aware of Wickerman's phenomenal tipping.

I am the first subscriber to this new service and have already received 6 ante post bets each with it's own rationale. The prices for these are still available but if you want to take advantage of these bets, you need to get signed up soon.

Take a look here footballbettingindex and become an FBI agent

Subscription is open to anyone but is limited to 50 people.

Wickerman is an excellent judge of Scottish football and I can see why he has chosen to get paid for his tips, and I am not suggesting that he shouldn't be paid nor deserves it, but I can't help thinking this is a disappointing day for the forum as a whole.

I understand your sentiment ML but Wickerman has his reasons for doing this which are outlined on the site.

He will continue to contribute his normal great value bets across a variety of sports in the Gold section of this forum.

The service is not very expensive imo and will soon pay for itself I think.

As I live abroad, I only have accounts with betfair and Sporting Index (where it can be difficult to get anything on). Would this nullify the value of the service?

Mac - I would say sadly it probably does as accounts will be needed with bookmakers to get quite a few of the bets on

Plus a few more from here that have told me they have subscribed.

Numbers are going up steadily I'm told with some others apart from the UBF crew.

36 - Any idea when the emails will be going out, I'm a bit stuck getting bets on some saturdays at the last minute.

Corkage - emails will go out on a Monday evening for midweek bets and Friday afternoon for weekend bets

I'd suggest to anyone subscribing to get a range of mainstream bookie accounts if you haven't already.

From experience of the trial, most bets are pretty straightforward and if you don't get eg a 7/2 advised at a certain bookie, you can usually get on at 100/30 elsewhere. So no real hassle getting on or rushing to get on most of the time. There will be occasions where an advised particular bookie is a standout price and it may be cut, but price fluctuations even themselves out mainly. I'll be happy to get 90% of the advised figures.

Are the recommended prices on the Ante-Post bets still available?

Well, it was the worst possible start losing 31pts the first weekend.

An 8pt profit on the next weekend brought the figures for July to -23pts

August started well with a 5.5pt profit on Sunday 1st August

And that was carried on in some style with a 26.8pt profit today

So we have a running profit for the month of 32.3pts and an overall profit of 9.3pts so far.

Wickerman is really getting into gear now

Cracking day today and a decent early season start.

36 - Is there a decent thread you can point me to on points in relation to total bank staking you can point me to, I feel I'm being too conservative, but would like to look at some hard logic.

Can't think of a thread off-hand Corkage but a bank of 500 pts is recommended. I think that is about right given the level of staking so far. Always better to be conservative as regards staking imo.

I have a seperate bank for this from my other betting. Easier that way to keep track. You can increase stakes exponentially but that is a personal choice.
