No bets for the first 3 days of Sept, then 3 winning days on the trot giving 24.5 pts profit. Cracking start Mr T

It's more fun that way Just the way it goes... I'm not sure a service that guarantees a pick every day would be a good idea: sometimes there just aren't any bets, and it's better to have no bets than try and pick something for the sake of it!

(I'm the geek behind the HBI programming and am standing in as the HBI rep on here whilst Ian's on holiday!)

Well September wasn't a great month...10.26 pts profit for the month.

But then October comes...49.5 pts profit on the first day

Excellent work from the HBI team, especially Mr T !!

Another month done and dusted and an impressive seventh winning month in a row - not many tipping services can give you that degree of consistency. We won’t deny that things were tough but we hung in there, didn’t change our staking or method of selection and walked away with a profit of just over 10 points, and this has kept us at the top of the 3,6 and 12 month proofing tables at Horse Racing Tips | Betting Tipsters | Tipster Proofing
The main difference to previous months was simple - we just lacked a few winners with 13 - past numbers were 20,20 and 17 so we were about 4 winners short of having a winning month of 50 points. Undoubtedly the highlight of the month was the tipping of Colorus at 28/1 who eventually went off at 8/1 and won comfortably. The lowlight was the performance of the 5 pointers - usually we have a very high strike rate but this month all 4 lost and we were particularly gutted with Jimmy Styles who won the Ayr Gold Cup the week after we had a 5 point bet on him.

We will have months like this but we held our nerve and fought back well to produce a profit. The good thing about having a bit of a losing run is that we eventually got some feedback from customers - when winning week in week out we don’t seem to get many emails (apart from those saying Wow!) but we have had several with suggestions of how we can improve the way we send tips etc. We always try to send bets using BOG bookmakers and fortunately more and more are joining the bandwagon, this now makes it easier for us to tip horses where people can get on at the prices we recommend. We have listened to all suggestions and have changed a few things to make our service better.

This time of the season is notoriously difficult but being sensible and patient we will continue to produce a profit and proved it on the 1st October with a huge winning day - but more of that next month!

was starting to pull my hair out recently, everything going badly, and some poor results, until tranquil sea bolts up on the bridle, 3pts ew at 9-1, so approx +34 points. happy days, and a great comeback

It has been difficult of late and the run of four seconds was hard to take but thankfully patience is rewarded

Just a quickie - check your balances - we advised Palypso de Creek at 14/1 4 places on Thursday. In the end only 8 ran and our pick was 4th meaning the bet returned a profit - Simples - Not! Have already had an apology and change of heart from Stan James who refused to settle and now Bet365 have done the same - I doubt this happens very often but I don't want them to get away with it - it is tantamount to cheating.

well after being involved for the past 3 months i was worried pre paddy power cup where we were 18 points down for the month, we then staked 13 points on the saturday, so before the paddy power we were potentially minus 31, the worst it has been since the start, yes i was cursing my luck and how i must have cursed everyone else..........how wrong i was!!

tranquil sea was sent out on the tuesday night and in my short experience this was the earliest antepost bet ever, 3 points each way at 9/1 and it romps home!!! back in profit, my spirits were lifted and i am eagerly waiting to watch the 3.35 at lingfield as ektimaal has been backed from 10/3 to 2/1 and we have 3 points on it, plus we are in the winners!! (not placed)

since this amazing upturn the following 16 days resulted in 19 bets only, which is very acceptable, and returned winners at 7/2, 5/1, 11/4 (these were the next 3 bets after tranquil seas win) 3/1 and 15/2

so overall, after been on the ropes the overall profit for the month was 42.75......my faith was restored, well done Mr T

Keyser - have been reading this guys blog and the proliferation of other blogs the same that are building portfolios of tipping services to try and make a living from betting - there are loads out there atm. Trouble with this one is he is trying to get on within minutes on Betfair when there is no liquidity - after he posted that the price drifted back out to 4.3 with plenty of money traded and the horse is still 3/1 with some books

I just can't get this right.
I have watched my profits dwindle in the last 2 months missing prices on the winners when they do win, then watching loser after loser this month then watched Cozy Tiger drift from 7/2 to 8/1 on betfair and thought sod this not wasting another £75 and it wins, unreal.
I vowed to do every selection no matter what.

That's a bummer peck.

You have to do them all. Mr T doesn't get that many winners but the staking helps when he does to make the profit. He has had quite long losing runs before but has always made it turn around to make a profit every month.

Hope you did the 5 pt win at 9/4 as well today. That and the 2pt 13/2 winner made it 24.25 pts profit on the day. Still not in profit for the month but if it's like previous months, he will end up on a profit.

This time of year, it is difficult with the weather, going, poor racing etc so a small profit each winter month till he gets back to his forte will do imo.

Feel for you but chuffed with todays results.
