Hi Ilunga
For each bet there is a short explanation from a simple one liner to a bit more - such as

Dumbarton v Forfar
Forfar may have turned the corner and can draw away from their lowly 9th place. They have recently signed Aberdeen's keeper Jamie Langfield on a loan deal and with injuries clearing up at last they look to be a win bet here. Dumbarton have been a bit shot shy recently and their mini run may be over
10 Points Win Forfar @ 2/1 Tote, Betfred, Ladbrokes, Coral

or

Hamilton v Livingston
Hamilton continue to disappoint and manager Billy Reid is on his last chance. Livingston beat them 1 0 last month and can beat them again.
10 Points Win Livingston @ 11/5 Victor Chandler 21/10 Coral

I believe that prices hold up pretty well on the whole - I guess comments from other subscribers would be the best guide - I am sure a few would be happy to comment

The above are excellent examples of the kind of reasoning. Typical Wickerman style. Short and to the point.

Getting on is doable. Some points will probably be lost, overall. It is not uncommon though, that the line will be higher on game day, i.e. FBI is certainly not a question of merely picking the obvious "wrong" odds that are bound to be slashed instantly.
Furthermore, the emails contain some "mentions", i.e. odds (often in minor markets) that only few bookies offer and hence are not actual plays that contribute to the results section.

If Peterhead FC were a horse it would have a timeform squiggle and be labelled "ungenuine". Just shows that money doesn't guarantee success at any level, team-building is essential. Regardless of the result of the game, Wickerman's preview is invariably highly informative.

FBI is more than just the recommended bets. Today, there was a late news update ( 3 hrs before the kick off though ) which was a convincing winner. Doesn't go in the official figures but does go into my bank as profit

A late goal scuppered our 9/2 win bet on Dunfermline today but the mentions proved highly profitable with
Ross County by 4 or more goals @ 8/1
Aberdeen by 4 or more goals 8/1
Both coming in

Anything with Paddy Power is entirely theoretical for most of us. Did anyone get on?

Precisely why they are mentions Mug - but people do get on.
Boyles were also 8/1 for the Ross County match and William Hill and Vic Chandler also quoted 13/2 and upwards and I believe some indpendents had these markets up.
When we started these bets were all part of the "proofing" and overall results figures but were dropped as not always could people get on. However they still remain an integral part of the service and what people pay for.

The official bets lost 7 points approx and there were also several losing mentions. Personally when I've lost on the day I find it a bit annoying hearing about how much I would have had it off for if I'd steaked differently or been able to get on with joke bookmakers. Sorry if this sounds mean-spirited. Incidentally I did bet Ross -1.25 and Aberdeen -1.25 based on Stevie's advice so I certainly found it useful.

I appreciate you have difficulty in getting on Mug - you are clearly a succesful gambler
Bet365, Coral and Sky also priced up but no doubt you would classify those as joke bookmakers as well - the problem is - we have to use bookmakers to put the bets up - who do we use? We use the main bookmakers who appear on Oddschecker - there is nothing else we can really do.
In this instance I felt it was fair advertising what other things FBI has to offer as the basic tips themselves don't always tell the whole story.

Being from a strange country, I can't get on at most of these bookies (at the moment), but did manage a "cheeky" () trixie, so I am personally more than happy about these mentions. And, to be fair, the mentions that come with a staking plan have really paid off, even allowing for the price cuts that most people inevitably have to accept.
And I can understand the desire to highlight the interesting bits of info in the emails, that don't show off in the results section.

Gloating about winners and keeping quiet about losers is par for the course in the industry. Who is to say whether it is fair or not, SBI?

I don't think I am guilty of gloating merely pointing out another side to the service which never sees the light of day. Compared to the way most services "advertise" themselves I am very honest and open - nothing is ever twisted or altered where results are concerned.

Finally copped on Peterhead and East Fife! Never gave up on them. Thanks also for the late info, very sound even if it didn't quite cop.

I'll be very happy if I never hear the word "Peterhead" again in my life, but three own goals in one match has to be some sort of a record.

To be fair the line moved half a goal in our favour between Monday afternoon and kick-off. When that happens who cares about the result?
