Default Svens press conference.

how lightly did he get off?
couldnt believe how the press seemed to pussyfoot around with their questions...why wasnt he asked questions such as "can you explain why after 5 years you didnt have a clue what formation to play in most matches?"
how about "considering the talent at your disposal will you go down as the worst england manager in modern times?"...a couple of others which should have been asked...
"can you explain now what was the point in taking theo walcott?"
"you have been paid around £25m, do you think that is £24.9m too much?

it seems our gutter press can only give it in print and not face to face.

..As for beckhams statement, at least you could see the hurt in his eyes unlike svens couldnt give a toss attitude.

No manager should ever get the wage Sven got. Why he is so sought after I do not know.

Friendlies are the worst type of games, but he made them even more pointless. Having a look at a player for 45 mins in the wrong position or in a team full of inexperience before dragging him off and then putting another six players on for a second half.

If friendlies are for any purpose they're for trying a new player or two in their proper position alongside regulars or trying a new formation. He learnt nothing from them.

Was he ever going to use Walcott? No. All this 'He's something different, the other teams won't know about him.' They still don't know about him because you didn't play him. The inclusion of Jenas irritates me just as much as there was never any chance of him playing either.

You look at the areas where we are strongest and you have to say that at centre-half we have a lot of depth. Terry, Ferdinand, Campbell, Carragher, King, who didn't make it. We should have been trying out 3 at the back in friendlies.

We all knew it and said at the time that his lack of strikers was a big mistake and so it's proved.

"Had you got to the semis, would you have played Crouch AND Walcott?"
