England markets all suspended. It should be interesting to see what they come up with. Can't resist a small acca with skybet on the following: Henry 2.2 WHo else is going to score for France? Toni 3.5 Scores for fun in Serie A. Italy's main man. Klose 3 Same as above. Scores plenty in the Bundesliga. Guaranteed starter. Ronaldo 3 Brazil have plenty of goalscorers but Ronaldo is surely going to be the one Ronaldinho, Kaka et al are looking to supply. Huntelaar 8 Bit of a longshot but he seems to be playing his way right into Van Basten's plans, and is already above Makaay in the pecking order. Hard to see him not getting an opportunity. I considered Villa as well at 4 but not totally sure how Spain will line-up. It would be nice if a few more firms priced up. Any thoughts?

| I've had a go on the outright top goalscorer. The guy from Portugal, Pauleta, appeals as he's way in front in the French league in terms of goals. He also broke the Portuguese record held by Eusabio. With their group, the way they qualified and the likes of Deco and Ronaldo supplying I thought he was worth a bet at 33-1+. Also had a small wager on Klose. Again, a prolific goalscorer and although Germany don't look in great shape home advantage will pull them through a few games. He had an outstanding 2002 WC campaign and is again decent value around the 33-1 mark.

I couldn't argue with those two, although I was confident on Pauleta scoring a few in Euro 2004 and he did nothing. I've quite a few bets so far. Some have been backed since like Villa, Huntelaar and Borgetti. I have my eye on someone else but am waiting for a better price. Villa and Borgetti fit the profile I like - good finishers in a relatively easy group. I would avoid the likes of Crespo, Van Nistelrooy and Toni as shortish prices as their teams will likely be involved in some tight group games.

Pretty gutted that Huntelaar didn't make the Dutch squad. Van Basten will be regretting that decision when Van Nistelrooy bombs in the opener. I've made up for it by topping up on Gerrard. Still 10/1 with Joe to be top England goalscorer. I'm shocked they haven't cut him yet. Make them pay

Chopped now. I think SJ's 10/1 Essien is an even better bet. With Ghana lacking goalscorers and lumped in a semi 'group of death' one goal would probably be enough for a return. He plays in a more advanced role for his national team, similar to his Lyon position last season. Joint top scorer in their qualifying campaign with three goals in seven starts. He also takes penalties. I wouldn't have him any bigger than 5s.

Next one. Top Tunisia G/S - Santos. I missed the 5/1 but 4/1 is still much too big. Bet 365 are out on a limb. He's as short as evens elsewhere. I wouldn't lay him above 7/4. Comfortably their top scorer in qualifying.

I've been busy today. There's more value in this market than I know what to do with. Added: Asamoah Gyan (Ghana) 10/1 Bet365 Zidane 14/1 Betfred Rotan (Ukraine) 10/1 Lads (or 11/1 Expekt) Clayton (Tunisia) 16/1 Lads

| Had a look at the Ukrainian odds, too. With Shevchenko struggling for fitness I was looking for an alternative. Haven't seen enough of Rotan (midfielder, right?) to be confident but Voronin had a decent season at Leverkusen despite Berbatov taking all the headlines.

He's definitely a possibility colo but 9/2 doesn't offer a great deal of value, when he's not sure to start. Rotan is an attacking midfielder as far as I'm aware. He's as short as 7/2 elsewhere. Scored three in qualifying, and seemed to flourish in the last few games of the campaign.

Top Argentina g/s Maxi Rodriguez. 33/1 with Skybet. Crazy price! He's not guaranteed to start but last night's friendly with Angola would suggest that he's very much in the manager's plans. He played most of the game, scoring one and also hitting the post. It's looking inreasingly likely that he may start on the right, with Crespo and Saviola upfront. His goals per game ratio was as good as Torres' for Atletico last season, despite spending most of his time on the wing. He certainly has an eye for goal.

Keyser, I was thinking of Saviola as well at 16s. Glad I left alone though as he will not start their first game, nor will Crespo. http://home.skysports.com/worldcup/a...art+in+Hamburg Good news is Maxi is in the team
