| I'm looking to lay one of the following on Saturday... Chelsea/Man Unt/Arsenal with a view to trading out at some point in the game. Not sure which yet but possibly more likely to be Man unt or Chelsea. I've got this theory at the mo, that away fav's tend to be poor value. (Only based on watching the markets, nothing more solid than that) Noticed Torres and Gerrard both passed fit today, interesting, new boy Riera looks likely to figure as well, adding much need width to the liverpool attack. Looks a good player, fierce shot, good in the air, speedy and good at crossing. Giggs might figure as well as Berby. If its 0-0 at half time i'll be greening up, if Liverpool lead then i'll wait n see if manure score first i'll get out arfter the market settles and the frenzies over. Looks like a lay of Manu then. (brave boy) |

| Speedy he is not, unless he has found a yard of pace from the time he was on loan at City. Squad player at best IMO

| Thanks for your reply Rob... He was only 24 and playing in a foreign country for the first time, since returning to Espanyol he has improved massively in all departments, i watched him several times last year and was impressed every time! He has also broke into the Spanish side all be it on the fringes (did manage to score on debut), but still pretty impressive. I personally feel he'll improve Liverpool's first team no end. But hey, i guess it's all a game of opinion, only time will tell. |

It seems i'm not the only one who thinks he will fit in nicely at Anfield, his team mates do to. I'm not by any means suggesting that he's another Ronaldo, but i do think he has a lot of positive attributes, pace and the ability to get to the by-line and put in a decent cross being among them. Lets face it he has to be a better option than Benayoun on the left wing. It should also be pointed out that he only figured in 15 games at City whilst on loan, think it would be a little un-fair to judge him on that. Now on to my next subject, Palyunchenko (ok i'm not the best when it comes down to spelling! | |

| Thought Riera got of to a good solid start today, with some nice touches on the left. Looks like he's building up a decent relationship with Aurelio, not sure where that leaves Dossena! Good result and performance from Liverpool, dont know why Man u didnt come out of the changing rooms in the second half though! Football continues to be a frustration for me, didnt trade any of these games in the end. I'm pretty sure if i had been doing so that it would have been a losing trade based on the strategy i've been working on despite managing to find the right result. Ironically the other match that i would have seriously consided (Chelsea) would have been a winning trade, yet Chelsea ended up winning comfortably, as suspected Arsenal were comfortable and i would have been very pleased about steering clear. Needs a lot more thought, i do think that fav's playing away from home do tend to be priced up too short more often than not though and that with care it can be exploited, but until i can get the money management under control i cant get involved too much. I think todays matches pretty much some up the confusion and doubt i have when considering football as a trading medium. I'm sure that i am over complicating things and that i should back myself more often. But i'm finding it incredibly difficult. With cricket i am happy to follow my own opinion, use my time stops and get out if i'm wrong, but unfortunately i cant seem to get any element of control when it comes to football. |

| I do agree in general shipwreck, however Arsenal and Chelsea were, if anything, too long yesterday. When you want to be opposing them is when they're 1.5-1.6 against a slightly underrated side (like Wigan for example). You could also try laying Boro's opposition in all their away games, because they invariably score first. And fail to win |

| Thanks ilunga i will certainly bare your thoughts in mind. I can see what your saying regarding Arsenal and Chelsea, i did think that the recent hype over Manchester City's new found wealth may have affected the markets a little and after seeing Arsenal's demolition of Newcastle i would have found it incredibly hard to lay them. I think the return of Fabregas and Van Percy has helped them immensely. My fantasy team points would suggest that as well, Fabregas has picked up 7 bonus points for me over the last 2 games! |

| Whilst on the subject of yesterdays matches i think Zaki looks a good buy, seen him place twice now looks really sharp and scoring goals too. Never heard of him before but he looks like he may do well. Very frustrated seeing Marlon king scoring twice, i had him in my fantasy team a couple of years ago based on performances during the season beforehand. He got injured and was out for the rest of the season. After he went on loan to Hull this year i was giving him serious consideration again, especially at the price. Went for Keane instead...oh dear. |

| Yep, Zaki looks a right bargain. I'm laying Everton today. Should be quite a physical encounter, with Fellani making his debut and the possibility of Cahill and Vaughan featuring (not sure about ref or books spreads....yet). I feel Stoke are very underrated. They beat Villa in their only home game so far, and were the better side at Boro until the sending-off. 5/2 with Skybet commission free. |

| Yeah i did note the Villa game, which suggests Stoke may be better than most will give them credit for. But i have not seen enough of them yet, Everton are a funny team, you would have felt they had it in them to beat Portsmouth at Goodison last week would'nt you. Not knocking Portsmouth, they are a good side but you would have expected and Everton win. I'm trading Notts/Sussex today so i might leave the Stoke game this time around, wait until i have seen more of them, Good luck with it though ilunga. |

I laid Everton and immediately thought of this when Cahill scored the fucking winner! Shipwreck - how about changing your name to Jonah?

| Sorry ozz, but i did kinda think it might happen, he's always seems to be chomping at the bit for the first few matches after coming back from a break. If he was a race horse i think he would have a 'runs well fresh' (or whatever the race term might be) comment after his name. As you are no doubt aware he's a great player unfortunately i think his 'up and at them' approach leaves him prone to injury.

| Hi Shaker, sounds like you missed out on a decent player! Still from what i saw of Bristol City last season, there's plenty of room for optimism! Hope to see them in the Premiership soon!

| Hi Shipwreck, thanks for that. Think we might struggle at home this season, we just don't have the quality or imagination to break down defensively minded teams and more teams will come to Ashton Gate happy to get a draw after where we finished last time. Saying that though, our best midfielder hasn't played yet this season and we're still unbeaten. Hoping Brum will come and attack us tonight. |
