| into the bronze forum Premiership games today. Arsenal will beat Sheff Utd without a problem but what's the best way to play this one? Let's face it, United are rubbish. I watched their game with Reading last week and felt embarrassed for them. There was a classic moment where the ball was played into Akinbiyi on the edge of Reading's box. 10 seconds later and they had proceeded to pass the ball all the way back to their own keeper. Arsenal have battered both Villa and Boro at home and somehow didn't win either. Warnock's men will be under seige from the word go, but can they keep things tight enough to cover the handicap, let alone create chances of their own? Rather than guess at how many Henry and co. will rack up, I'd rather play safe and suggest that Arsenal will not concede. Let's face it Villa and Boro were very fortunate to get on the scoresheet and both sides are a class above today's opponents. I expect a very quiet afternoon for Jens Lehmann. Therefore the bet is 'either side not to score' at 8/11 with Bet365. Boro look a no-brainer of a lay but I will wait for team news. I don't expect Downing, Huth or Boateng to be fit, and am interested to see which formation Southgate goes with. Man Utd are on the drift. Could be down to doubts about Saha's fitness. They still look too short at 1.66 imo. Chelsea are no value but it's hard to see Fulham competing with all the players they have out. Anyone out there? |

| West Ham (draw no bet) @ 5\4 Sporting Odds seems a fair bet.

| One from League 2. Shrewsbury have a few defensive problems. They had to go out and loan a guy from Preston this week to make up the numbers. Darlo are in even worse shape with four defenders unavailable. They do however possess a lot of attacking weapons, and I envisage an open game. Over 2.5 is odds-against so I'm going in. |

| I hate to do it, and I would have liked a better price, but I think Boro have to be opposed today. Woodgate has made a big difference to the defence but we seem to get exposed way too often at home by average sides. I think he may have his work cut out given the players in front of him. Yakubu is up on his own, and with no Downing or Johnson, I don't know where the supply will come from. Parnaby is awful and Mendieta is way past his best. Morrison is hit and miss, which leaves Rochemback and Euell. I'm just not confident at all, and would have much preferred Cattermole and Johnson rather than Mendieta and Parnaby, who both toiled away without success against league two opposition midweek. Villa look short but every time I've watched Charlton they've been terrible. I'm starting to think they really are that bad. |
