Could be a good call, especially now that Frings has been banned. They'll miss him more than most think.

Frings is a major loss. The Italians were very keen to have him banned. I've said it before he is more important to the team's system and performance than Ballack. His deputy, Kehl, is a decent enough player but I wouldn't be surprised to see Borowski line up, too, in place of Schweinsteiger to add another "heavyweight".

Nevertheless I am sticking by my pre-World Cup view that to beat this German team you will have to score at least 3 goals. Can't see it coming from this Italian team. I am quietly confident.
