| On a relative basis I think refs have been fairly decent. Not great but none have fucked up a game like Spain vs South Korea or Italy vs South Korea in the last World Cup. Same applies to the players. It seems there's been less playacting, diving or even time wasting than in previous tournaments. Re Kewell vs Merk. Harry was a lucky boy imo. Clearly Blatter and his cronies had never heard of a "drongo" before.

| Today Lay Ghana at 2.14 (7.69 on FIFA!!!) will sell their supremacy on spreads as well. USA 1.54 shots on FIFA, should really be backing them, but like yesterday, advancement the aim, and if Italy winning and Ghana drawing they will shut up shop. Lay Italy at 2.06 (3.57 on FIFA) and sell supremacy. Czech higher in FIFA rankings, but want draw on side again. Small lay Brazil at 1.29 (1.59 FIFA) though Japan need to win to progress, so that might be their undoing as they push forward. Back Croatia at 2.5 (1.85 shots on FIFA) |

| Although it was a superb effort by the Americans to avoid defeat against Italy with only 9 men for 44 minutes, I think the Azzurri's ineptitude on the day contributed in a big way. Every time I've watched Ghana I have been very impressed with them and I just have to back them at above evens personally. I've also had some of the 129/1 about them winning the W.C with a view to trading back hopefully. |

| Cupid, I can't agree at all. However, I know someone who does. I'm going to let him express his thoughts on the game... hi all, I am Ghanaian and for that matter,it is obvious for me to think my country will make it to the next stage by beating the US.But there is more to that. We sure did loose to the Italian side which I think was due to the fact that we were freshers. This time round after beating the Czech,we stand the chance of getting in there.US is no much for us cos our boys are well compased and ready for the game. Now I am convinced that even if we met the BIG favourites ,we will beat them. |

| Now he's left the room I can say it how I see it. As good as Ghana were against the Czechs it's a big ask for them to perform like that again when the pressure is on. They had nothing to lose in that game. Their price was too big, and they really turned it on. Much, much harder to back today at 2.2. Firstly, their two goalscorers are banned. Gyan and Muntari are huge players for them. Matthew Amoah hasn't looked up to it. They have no like for like replacement for Muntari. It's hard to see where the goals will come from. I don't think they will qualify. If they do, I think they will give Brazil (or whoever) a really good game and could go very far, but people are getting carried away with that one win, and 2.2 Ghana is the lay of the week imho. |

| I'm right with you Ilunga On the same basis I backed Paraguay and laid Ivory Coast, I'm taking the pre-tournament odds as a better indicator of a team's standard than the current odds, which have overreacted to two matches. Therefore I'm laying Ghana @ 2.25. USA are a better team than Ghana. Was tempted to lay Italy on the same basis, especially with their propensity for getting Draws when required, but this Czech Republic team is very much on the way down and I just can't have them. |

| I wouldn't say USA are a better side but I think they're more disciplined, better organised, have more composure and more experience. Ghana were 500/1 shots before the off, and touched 800 after losing to Italy. One win and now they're 100/1 shots? Not for me. In the Italy-Czech game I'm backing Totti MOM and the 0-0 HT draw at 2.8. I'm sure it will be cagey early on. Both sides seem to be playing just one up front. If Ghana are ahead early then we should see an entertaining second half. but the first half will probably be dull. |

| Overs in both games looks a good call now with teams needing to score to stay in the competition

| On a separate note, I wonder why Football isn't taking off in America? Imagine tuning in to watch this nonsense. 2 men sent off for passing within 5 yards of Italians, and now a penalty awarded for the grave offence of going up for a header against Ghana. It's embarrassing for the game. |
