Hi,

I just can talk about france.
Normaly they go to play in 4-2-3-1

defenser: Sagnol-Thuram-Gallas-Abidal
Milfielder defensive:Makelele - Viera (everybory know them)
Milfielder Left: Ribery (all in percussion, excellent player, normaly he play right too)
Milfirlder Right:Wiltord
Milfielder Center:Zidane (he like only to play in the center so we cant play in 4-4-2 and if we put 2 forward, there is an equilibre problem)
Forward: Henry

With this tactic, i think, it's the better equilibre for the squad (when zidane play), but the problem will be in front any good defense, because we have only one forward. Our forward is henry so its not an "pivot" forward, meaning the france go to be oblige to play all in mouvement.

During the 3 friendly matchs, the france play in 4-3-1-2, viera was at right and he was very bad.
At this match, miss the midfield left Malouda, he had the hemorroides... lol

For to finish, the french squad have a very good inviduality, better than 1998. Just miss a very good ambiance inside and they have no automatism. The problem is the central defense, gallas and thuram dont play with the same tactic with theirs squad. One defend up and the other down. So risk of few decalage and they just play the 3 friendly match together.

After, me i rarely gambling in soccer now. But the french squad (when i think trezeguet dont play) have a chance to go until the 1/2.

Maybe it's because i'm french i say that so be carefull. But it's what i think.

Hello

I've backed Switzerland on the A/H at 2.36

The Swiss had the better of the qualifying games imo, and I don't think the heat will help the older players (ie the French)

I'll duplicate what I posted on the inside re; the France v Switzerland game.
Forgot this place was here to be honest until I recieved a pm reminding me.

France have undoubtedly the stronger of the 2 squads/teams on show tonight yet have failed to impress too many times to have any real confidence behind them at odds on, but if Henry can link up well with Zidane and also the young Ribery who looks a very good player they could tear the Swiss apart.

The Swiss are a reasonable young team with good technical ability with a lot of the squad being together since youth level.

I'm hoping the much stronger French can turn on the style and put in the kind of performance everyone knows they are capable of. Not backing in the outright as I don't like odds on but will be covering the following correct scores.

3-0, 3-1 and Unquoted.

I've also Laid the No at 1.04 and 1.05 in Hat-Trick scored market because if Henry is in the mood, playing up front on his own, he is definitely one of the most likely candidates to bag 3 in these group games. 1.04 and 1.05 are too short for No in this game for me.

Good Luck if you are betting....

Interesting thoughts Johnnee... I was thinking alot closer and have backed Switzerland on the AH @ 2.36 as Riccardo has.

I do fancy France to do well in the tournament as a whole but feel a slow start for them

France were garbage Mike.

Hopefully Brazil won't let us down and provide plenty of goals.

'Tis a big boys game this World Cup.

Separate single bets of £200,000, and £150,000 (twice) taken on Brazil so far on Betfair.

The spikes on the graph show the individual bets pj. And I shouldn't think Betfair need a PR spokesman on this forum

Jeez, why does every single decision have to go Brazil's way? I've only been watching for 10 mins and am not talking through my pocket, but this looks daft to me. Can it continue? I fear it can...

Lay Ecuador at 2.04 (Rankings suffering over form today, Ecuador should be 3.70 shots on rankings!)

Should lay England, FIFA has then as 1.54 shots, but cannot do it, wont enjoy winning if they don’t win!

Sod it, Lay England at 1.17.

Sweden match looks about right…

It's impossible not to lay Ecuador at evens. One win and they're suddenly a lump-on job

England and Sweden look short as well. It's about time we had a day when all three jollies slipped up. I'll happily settle for just the two.

Difficult to resist, isn't it?

I'm still a bit cautious because I burnt my fingers in the Ecu-Pol game having convinced myself Ecuador was the worst team in the group and if you don't adjust to the "new reality" (in this case, the possibility of Ecuador actually being a decent side) it could get ugly.
