Holland-Serbia.

Tough one to call. I can't help feeling the serbs are untested against high-quality opposition. The one really tough game they had in qualifying they nicked a draw in Spain but were very fortunate. A similar perfomance here probably wouldn't be good enough. I'm against Holland qualifying, and even though evens looks a bit on the short side I won't be opposing them again. Unders looks likely but price is short enough. I'm on six substitutions at 1.5+

Mexico-Iran.

Nothing appeals at all here.

Portugal-Angola.

I see a tight game. It could either kick-off big style or be a real damp squib. Angola will be looking to contain with just Akwa upfront. Narrow Portugal win. 1-0 6/1 or 2-0 11/2.

I barely got anything out of the Germany match Mike. Didn't play overs or unquoted. Anyway, I'm pretty much staying away from goals bets. Just having a tickle on those scores as I see that one being cagey early on, stoppages in play etc. If Portugal score early though and Angola have to come out, they could easily stick a few in. Deco would be a big loss though. Not sure about his condition.

Much has been made of the fact that Holland is a different type of team this year. Less egos, better squad unity, etc. But I'm with Mike on this one and opposed them as they regularly struggle in opening matches (only 1 win over the Saudis in '94 ) lately. Serbia is compact and despite missing one of the back four I think they can keep Holland at bay. Big fan of Mladen Krstajic.

I think Iran are overpriced in their match against Mexico. Saw plenty of their 4 German-based players and Ali Daei spent most of his career in Germany. These guys are no mugs. Some interesting results in their warmups (2-2 vs Croatia, 5-2 vs Bosnia) could indicate that they are up to the level of second tier European teams. Mexico, on the other hand, didn't impress me when I saw them live at the Confed Cup. Experts were drooling over their 4th place finish but I saw a nice, tidy side with a serious weakness that will be exploited......set piece defending. They haven't a clue. Not sure if Iran is good enough although Hashemian and Daei are excellent headers of the ball. I think a small lay of Mexico is the order of the day for me.

Portugal/Angola is no bet for me. Can't see Angola keeping up but that last meeting between the two could make for some interesting "clashes".

S&M game really open... taken 2.8 for the overs... 2 for S&M would be perfect ;)

Hi,

USA v Czech Republic

2 - lay - 2.04
2 - back - 2.06

------------------------------------
Autralia - Japan

1 - lay - 2.59
1 - back - 2.6

I laid Czech at 2.04 and i laid Autralia at 2.62. I think the odds go to grow up...so i will do a trade after, and before the game begin.

Ps: I dont know if i have the right to do that, or if we need to talk only gambling here.
Maybe i have to open a special topic for it.

-------------------

I dont believe, it's not good for the Australia, I laid them at 2.56 more. My average is at 2.59 now

-------------------

I was afraid for the australia game and i wasn't enough patient. But i'm lucky to did becarefull with USA - Czech.

But i dont understand why the under still so little in the autralia - japan. Under at 1.59.

Good call on Portugal lunghy... really was expecting floodgates opening but once again we have a case of early goal syndrome. Couple of interesting clashes today, really have to fancy Japan at big odds at the moment

I think the jollies are all underpriced today. I'm opposing all three of them.

Afternoon all. Been recommended to join this site by sportsbettingindex and am going to jump right in at the deep-end with my thoughts for today. I tend to bet on total goals / overs & unders. Odds are from Betfair, and I've put a small Trixie bet on the correct scores I've mentioned, because I'd be gutted in the unlikely chance that I'm right, and I hadn't

South Korea -v- Togo
Despite their performance in the last World Cup, I don't rate South Korea that highly, although I they are clearly better than Togo. Neither side will score a lot of goals, but I can see this sneaking over 2.5 - 2-1 is my predicted score.
Bet: 2 pts +2.5 at 2.64

France -v- Switzerland
Lot of negative comments about France and some positive ones about Switzerland, but I think they will simply be too good. Under 2.5 goals - 2-0 predicted score
Bet: 3 points -2.5 at 1.61

Brazil -v- Croatia
Not going to say anything about Brazil that hasn't been said before. Easy win; Over 2.5 goals, 3-0
Bet: 2 points +2.5 at 1.92

Fingers crossed!
