| you didn't seem 'in' with the revolution to me......if I am mistaken then I apologise and respectfully ask what you plan to do to avoid losing thousands and thousands each year? |

| chill linesharp - this is normally a more refined version of a forum, people tend to have less agendas here and have a reasoned debate

| Gold Member | I don't think it's a case of being 'in' or 'out' with a 'revolution' personally. Everyone should try to take a step away, reflect on their own personal circumstances, digest the implications in real terms and listen to the Q&A tomorrow night. No offence taken here linesharp, welcome on board. |

| Betfair haven't even informed me of the change yet. I expect that the Q&A session could be quite comical judging by some of the alleged responses from BF that I have seen posted.

| Ok, back the cricket... This looks like one of the more straight forward ones to take a look into. The 'surely Lancashire will win every game they play' odds bus seems to have broken down but there is no way the are 6/4 shots, that's way too short. Lancs have had over 3 times less time out in the middle in this competition than Notts, which considering they've each 'played' 6 games must be a big factor. In fact Lancs have only had the equivalent of 1.5 games in total. Those that were completed were both lost (one a hammering to Worcs). Notts have completed every game played, their two losses were both tight (6 runs on D/L after a spectacular collapse and one with a ball to spare). Add in the disquiet hovering around Lancs at the moment, and I can only see one result, and would have have Notts nearer 1.5 myself. No weather to piss on the Betdaq parade today hopefully |

| Hi All - just as an aside to the commission debate, I'll admit that in my time at Betfair I am a net loser but I am getting better as time goes on. I believe I'll be a winner in the future. Therefore Betfair's behaviour with regard to the commission is still a kick in the balls for someone like me despite the fact I am unaffected. I've opened a Betdaq account too (you'll soon be taking my cash I'm sure!), well done to all and hopefully there are more like you (and me) who will do the same. Good luck today. |

| WD Bigmitch. Most sensible post so far. No doubt everyone wants to be in 0.5% Actually even among 0.5% only 2% are going to be suffered according to betfair. I'm not in favour of this decision but still IMO too much reaction from members. |

| Let me explain it : 2% of winners = 0.5% of total. ............... Suppose betfair total members = 1000 5 comes in this category which is 2% of winners. Total winners = 5x50 =250 .................. Means 250/1000 are winners at betfair. 25% members are winners. Is this possible ? |

| Not only not possible (imo) but not what BF are claiming. This is quoted direct from service announcement: "If we’d had this charge in place over the last year less than 2% of those customers who were in profit (after commission) would have paid it. More than 98% of Betfair’s winning customers would never have been charged". (my highlight) Nothing therein relates to total/winning accounts ratio; just that premium charge would affect less than 2% of those accounts which are winners (according to BF). Whether one believes this is another question.

| Sorry if any of my post seems to be advocating betfair. I don't have any intention to defend betfair. I only want to say that analyze situation first. |

| I have just received my betfair p&l premium charge breakdown (by the way if anyone wants to see one pm me & u can have a copy) According to it, had the premium tax been in I would be out of pocket by £567.76, this is based on p&l over last 60 wks of £14500 roughly (including a disaster I had last week where I managed to lose £2700 chasing a loss) I cannot be in the top 0.5% with this p&l, which is why I dont get that they are sticking to their points that it only affects a very small % and a targeted few. I dont use betangle or bettrader, and wouldnt know where to start with a bot. I think I kind of understand what they where trying to achieve with the changes, going after a certain small section of people, but their implementation of it seems to have included a hell of alot of 'normal' punters, and obv they way they delivered it was a mess. |

| ..just on the topic of total number of winning accounts, the 0.5% figure is something of a red herring (again, imo). What BF actually say (in "About Us/Premium Charges") is "In addition to the other charges detailed above, a small number (less than 0.5%) of our most successful customers will incur Premium Charges. Given the highlighted caveats, this means nothing whatsoever. Delta1223 - I certainly didn't imagine you were defending BF!

| Bronze Member | Has anyone got any actual thoughts on the cricket? Notts should have too much for Lanky here i feel. Teams as below: Notts Outlaws team to face Lancashire: Will Jefferson, Graeme Swann, Mark Wagh, Ashwell Prince, Samit Patel, Bilal Shafayat, Chris Read (Capt / Wkt), Mark Ealham, Andre Adams, Darren Pattinson, Charlie Shreck Lancashire Lightning 13-man squad Lou Vincent Karl Brown Paul Horton Stuart Law (cpt) Francois Du Plessis Steven Croft Gareth Cross (wkt) Glen Chapple Tom Smith Oliver Newby Gary Keedy Kyle Hogg Stephen Parry |

| Gold Member | Lancs are all over the place at the moment, on and off the pitch. Notts should have too much, need to win next two games at home to win it so motivation not a problem. Lancs, on the other hand, don't seem to be arsed. Cue an emphatic Lancs victory. |
