| Hi all - hope all went well with the Pakistan win. Just had a look at the pre match prices for the England game tonight and i think there's a bit of value in laying the 1.73 on NZ at the start. This is only my opinion but here's my thinking. NZ may well win the game. But i think Eng will have the early advantage, either batting or bowling. If Eng are batting - Mal Loye could well come off. He showed against the aussies what he is capable of and i have rated the guy for ages. Eng could very well be 50/0 off 8 overs if he fires. If Eng are bowling - i think Anderson and Lewis are actually a decent new ball pairing at the moment. And NZ top order is about as fragile as me on a sunday morning Therefore i think a small lay of NZ to start with - could be a tad risky if Loye goes early but at the prices on offer it could be decent starting position. FWIW i'm looking forward to this game, although Aus are a money making machine - there's nothing better than a closely fought contest. Good luck all. Badger. |

| BB Both sides are poor so it's a coin toss IMO. Laying the side who are odds on looks like a decent strategy as there should be ample opportunity to trade out.

| Good point Pierre - both teams relying very heavily on their respective captains, Fleming and Flintoff. The rest aren't really doing that much. I liked the look of Mal Loye (as i said earlier, and Anderson and Lewis have both bowled ok in the last couple of games. And Gillespie bowled very well the other day against Aus (10-2-34-2). I'd be interested to see if NZ are going with the same strategy as the last game v Aus when they only played 4 frontline bowlers and made up the rest with part timers. |
