The Lockdown Diary - DAY 106

Posted 8th July 2020 at 11:11 by Cormack
Cake was a massive hit. I've made it on multiple occasions but the "cream the butter and sugars" method has a clear advantage over the "all in".

We 'had a table' and it went down well, everyone ate their fill and there was a bit over, which is nice.

Other than that, Mrs C's onsite present was not to be mithered all day, watch Netflix and be fed. Level up. We'll do something further into summer when we're less restricted.

Couple...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 105

Posted 8th July 2020 at 10:53 by Cormack
Busy, busy, so am on catch-up. Mrs C's birthday on #106 so I decided that I would make a cake. I have a cracking recipe which makes a firm unit ripe for carving, and it came out the best ever. I have become Cake Boss.

Slept badly, second night inside a week, no real reason but it explains why this entry is two days after the event and a day late.

Went to nets, and the planned tournament is now scheduled for the weekend and in two weeks to finish. The club has unsurprisingly...

Posted 5th July 2020 at 12:11 by Cormack
A day of limited drama in store which I managed to ramp up. Mum has the phone working and chargeable and is doing pretty well. Fingers crossed for a move so she can get her own gear delivered, but at the same time she's naturally gregarious and comfy where she is if it has to be so.

The pubs opened and the Wetherspoon's in Old Swan was packed, I assume with people who miss low grade beef and catering chips. We passed by say 50 yards away in the car and I wish I'd worn a mask......

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 102

Posted 4th July 2020 at 21:00 by Cormack
Pleasant working day today, Mum is in day one of recovery, I was allowed a shop with Mrs C (got mustard and a sourdough loaf, have pastrami, that's tomorrow sorted) and my son completely bamboozled me by bowling spin at nets - he has a slight strain on his back and so wheeled his arm over. The bamboozling was down to him bowling finger spin.

I'll explain. They have a prodigious leggie in the juniors from whom they all have learnt how to. This I knew and have seen. However, when...
