The Lockdown Diary - DAY 98

Posted 30th June 2020 at 18:02 by Cormack
The end of week fourteen. A bit of 'me only' stuff first.

I've had my discharge papers of Robber Jenrick and "hi, I'm Matt", end of July for now but that to me means the end of the start and nothing else.

After October where I dropped the biologic, on Friday last (#95, ML, #95) I was told to immediately drop the immunosuppressant. I am, for all intents and purposes, flying solo for Crohn's on a tablet that is a long time out of standard use. Follow up calprotectin measures for now, 3 months and six months and see how I go. A bold move and better I do it at home for starters, I think.

Wore a raincoat and hard pants on #98 for the first time since around Cheltenham and went to nets but left the squad to it and went around with Mrs C and the hound.

These might be the interesting times the Chinese proverb refers to.

Recommended listening - Neil Diamond, I Am, I Said

Unlike me not to have put a Diamond song up until now. Rectified.

Mum's settled, spoke on the phone, she's sorted the ward conversations out and is probably getting a bit of better rest, tbh, lemons to lemonade, that sort of thing. Play the way you're facing.

I have £1.70 in my pocket. It now has tenant's rights.

Stay well
