Targetwise have just released LiveCharts 1.0 - a real-time charting tool for all Betfair markets. We are licensed Betfair 3rd Party Software Vendors and you can see our listing on the Betfair Solutions Directory. This license allows us direct access to the live market data on the Betfair servers. As a promotion, the first 50 registered Betfair members who respond to this thread will have their Betfair account activated for free - permenantly. In exchange for the free license we ask that the users give us feedback, inform us of any bugs, and let us know what additional features they would like to see in the next release. Additionally, we will allow you to download the latest functionality for testing before the new versions are released to the general public. Although the tool in still in it's infancy, it currently allows users to compare runner prices on any active Betfair market, shows overround/underround percentage chart, volumes matched etc. It's a great tool to have running next to your browser when betting on liquid markets where prices are constantly changing. We look forward to hearing from you on this thread. ![]() Kind regards, Martin Wells, Targetwise Software Last edited by wigscomp : 14th July 2006 at 17:17.

Thanks for your response. If you send an email mwells@targetwise.co.uk quoting your Betfair account name, I will grant you access. FOR SECURITY PURPOSES PLEASE DO NOT SEND US YOUR PASSWORD You can download the latest installer from our website (last updated on 14th July) www.targetwise.co.uk and as part of the installation you must agree to Betfair's terms and conditions of the license. The installation comes with a 20 page document to give you an idea of the functionality, but the tool is pretty intuitive. I look forward to hearing your feedback. Kind Regards Martin Wells Targetwise Software

Hi, You say the software is in its infancy - fine - but, in its present state, I have no idea who would find it useful. Watching another screen (if users have them),is an extra distraction. Unless u have a block-buster algorithm, or indicator, which highlights specific opportunities, I fail to see what this program would add, to 99.9% of users. I am sorry, but it needs a lot of work - the current functionality, no way justifies the extra distraction. In its favour, it seems to be downloading the data fine, and displaying it ok - u maybe need to think up ways to make a user use it.

Thanks for your feedback. Up-and-coming functionality includes technical indicators for individual selected runners. The goal of the first release is to have a stable & tested platform from which we can build additional functionality. As a regular Betfair user myself, I find it frustrating that all the information I want to see for a runner is not on a single page and does not refresh automatically, especially seeing where the money is being matched. We are working towards presenting all the information available for runners in a single place which is quickly easily interpreted. Users don't necessarily need another screen as you can tile the application next to your browser window on your desktop - the charts scale to fit the application window. This depends on the size of your monitor though. Once again thanks for your input. Regards, Martin Targetwise Software Last edited by wigscomp : 14th July 2006 at 20:36.

| I dont think i'd ever use software like this so maybe Im off the topic, but i would have thought the option to display matched volumes as a market percentage, and/or compare two markets side by side such as win and place on the same graph. The ideal thing i suppose would be triggers where you can set a message when criteria is met, but the extra custom scripting and rules would be lots of work for such a simple application. As I said I wont use this tool, so I may be thinking from the wrong angle, but thought I would just contribute to the thread.

Gary, Thanks for your input. Regarding your suggestions for additional functionality - Firstly, the comparison of multiple markets for the same event could open up some interesting data. That's certainly something we'll consider. Secondly, volumes matched percentages for each selection in a race would look pretty similar to the current total matched chart, but it is also another way of presenting the available data and it's certainly worth giving the user the option. Finally, user configurable triggers displaying messages when certain market criteria are met may also be useful. Furthermore, the option to place a trade automatically when these conditions are met would be ideal. However, adding betting functionality is some way down the line, but always worth consideration. Regards, Martin

Jd007, The data is accessed through the most recent Betfair API 4.1. I didn't use the term API as not everyone would knows what this acronym means. For the benefit of anyone who is not aware, Beftair expose a number of services to Licensed 3rd party vendors which give what I called "direct access" to market data. The API (Application Programming Interface) is simply an interface through which we fetch the market data from Betfair. Currently our license only allows us to retrieve data, but it is possible to place bets programmatically for vendors with the full Transactional license. Regards, Martin
