When backing horses, how do you time the bets in order to get the best odds, should you wait til the last minute and wait for a drift, although generally this is a bad sign for the horse of choice! or get in early and take yer chances? :?

Probably more of a question without an answer, potatoman - though as you say, if it drifts are you sure you want to be on it anyway?

I always take an early price and hope to lay a little off to the latercomers.

when the price shortens on betfair it is more or less a given that it will shorten in the show.

but once the price is now shorter in the show the price (unless there is a sustained gamble) will drift on betfair but usually not on the show.
